The Role of Patients in the Health Care System Debate
About the Project
The V Meeting of the Patient’s Club organised in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University featured a special debate entitled The role of patient organisations in creating a system of cardiology care and treatment involving representatives of the health care system and the representatives of patient organisations. The event was attended by over 500 people.
The situation of patient organisations has room for improvement due to many reasons. First of all, their legal status in the system has not been specified. Furthermore, organisations feel neglected, and during the public consultations, their voice is often not taken into account. During the debate, it was explained what impact patient organisations have on the health system, what should be their role and legal structure, and in what directions should the health care system should be changed so that patients can actively participate in its creation.
Eleven Zett’s task was to prepare the programme and take care of organisational issues of the event, invite guests and speakers, and promote events in the media and social media, together with photo coverage.
